Joao Moreira has been booked to ride the New Zealand-owned Rodrico in the Gr.1 Queensland Derby on Saturday week.
Raced by Robin Peel-Walker and Mark Wyborn, the three-year-old has emerged as a serious contender after an excellent run of lead-up form in Sydney.
Rodrico has two wins at Randwick and a victory at Warwick Farm from his last three appearances for Chris Waller.
