Matamata trainer Karyn McQuade isn't in any hurry with her capable winter performer Kindaleica.
"He went a really good race first-up, but his next two runs weren't that flash," she said. "The drier tracks knocked him a bit so he's having three weeks to freshen up. It looks like the winter may go on longer this year so there's no rush with him."
Kindaleica won the Listed Karaka Classic earlier this season and finished runner-up in the Listed Matamata Cup.
