Benzini's first-up performance in Australia will determine the shape of his Queensland winter carnival campaign.
"He's in a race at Doomben on Saturday and we'll look at the Brisbane Cup for him, but it depends how he goes at the weekend," owner and co-trainer Adrian Bull said.
Benzini, who will line up in the Gr.3 Premier's Cup, hasn't raced since he finished second in the Gr.3 Canterbury Gold Cup.
The Gr.1 Livamol Classic runner-up travelled to Brisbane in the care of Bull's son and training partner Harry.
