New Zealand apprentice Josh Oliver has broken his city duck in Queensland.
He has ridden 50 winners since transferring to Toowoomba trainer Ben Currie and on Saturday tasted his first metropolitan success aboard the stable runner Col 'N' Lil at Doomben.
"I got my indentures extended to stay here and it is starting to pay off," Oliver said.
