NZ Horse of the Year Jimmy Choux sired a debut winner at Gosford on Thursday with the Champion Thoroughbreds colours carried to victory by Parlay Vous.
The Joe Pride gelding was given a good run in transit by Jay Ford travelling sweetly on the fence and when angled into the clear found the line strongly to snatch a half head win in the 1000 metre dash.
Parlay Vous was a $105,000 NZB Premier purchase for Champion Thoroughbreds from the draft of Curraghmore Stud and is the third winner from unraced Flying Spur mare My Parlay, a daughter of Group I winner Good Faith.
This is also the family of Group winners Tully Dane and Believe Yourself.
Parlay Vous is the third Australian winner and fifth overall for Jimmy Choux, whose best offspring to date is Group III winner Manolo Blahniq.
