Mabeel has been ruled out of Queensland winter carnival contention.
Trainers Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young had been considering a Brisbane campaign until the Savabeel gelding ran fifth in the Gr.1 Easter Stakes at Ellerslie.
"He went a good race, but he didn't kick on the turn and show the same ping that he can- he's come to the end of his campaign," Busuttin said.
