A Cape Blanco half-sister to triple Group One winner Turn Me Loose was the highest priced filly on Day 2 of the New Zealand Bloodstock Weanling, Broodmare and Mixed Bloodstock Sale.

Signed for by New Zealand Bloodstock as agent, the scopey filly fetched $150,000 and is likely to make her way to the Cambridge stable of Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman like her high-class older sibling.

Sold by Mana Park's George and Maryanne Simon, the vendors were delighted with the outcome.

"We we're really rapt with the result. We had a realistic figure of $80,000-$100,000, so to get $150,000 has exceeded our expectations," Maryanne Simon said.

"She's got a massive walk and great temperament that is her selling point. She's probably a lighter framed filly and she's going to be a Classic three-year-old type of filly, so time will be her friend.

Mana Park have leased Danehill mare Indomitable from Sir Peter Vela's Pencarrow Stud and have enjoyed the thrill of breeding Group One entire Turn Me Loose.

"We have to return the mare this season, so we had the opportunity to breed her back to Iffraaj to get a full brother or sister to Turn Me Loose so we're pretty excited and looking forward to seeing that."

"We have four fillies and mares at home that we've kept out of the family, hence we've presented her for sale. We've been rewarded for offering a quality filly with a pedigree to match and I'd like to think this sale will continue to grow in the future.

"The buying bench here at the weanling sale has been enormous this year, so kudos goes to New Zealand Bloodstock for getting the buyers on the complex." – NZ Racing Desk.
