Street Smart added to his Australian travelling fund with a defeat of the older horses at Pukekohe Park on Friday.
The Shaune Ritchie-trained Gr.1 Queensland Derby prospect turned his luck around after striking interference in his previous two outings with victory over 2100 metres.
"He was a bit green and a bit awkward coming down the straight," rider Matt Cameron said. "The speed was on and I followed the horse that ran second and he dragged me into the race.
"They told me he was quite one-paced so I had to get into him a bit, but he won well."
