Group One performer Son Of Maher has returned to his Riccarton quarters.
The Levin Classic runner-up was put aside after failing in the New Zealand Derby at Ellerslie where he took up the uncustomary role of pacemaker.
"Nothing went right for him," co-trainer Michael Pitman said. "He's back after a break and he'll race a bit later on."
