The Stephen Marsh-trained No More Tears has an opportunity to claim further Australian black-type when she tackles the Gr.3 Hawkesbury Guineas (1400m) on Saturday.
The three-year-old filly showed her true colours when second in the Gr.3 James Carr Stakes at Randwick a fortnight ago, after disappointing on her Australian debut in the Gr.2 Sapphire Stakes.
"It was a massive turnaround from the start before where she finished last," said trainer Stephen Marsh.
"We couldn't fault her and couldn't find a reason why she went so badly at her first run in Sydney, so we backed her up and she went great. She has trained on really well since
"Her work on Tuesday was very good and I like the draw (barrier six)."
Marsh would like to see jockey Tye Angland find the one-out, one-back position on Saturday.
"I'd rather see her there than back on the fence. Hopefully Tye can give her a sweet trip. She's got pretty good gate-speed and I think she's got to be a very good chance yet again."
