Two-year-old Savabeel filly Rosa Carolina heads to the Newcastle Stables of Kris Lees this week in preparation for the three-year-old races in Spring.
Raced by Lib Petagna's JML Bloodstock, Rosa Carolina follows a well-worn path.
Like Petagna's multiple Group One winning mare Lucia Valentina, Rosa Carolina was prepared by Cambridge trainer Stephen Marsh.
Rosa Carolina has had two starts as a juvenile, including a promising debut when second to the subsequent Group One winner Heroic Valour at Trentham.
She subsequently finished sixth in the Gr.2 Matamata Breeders Stakes.
A daughter of the smart O'Reilly mare Ombre Rose, Rosa Carolina was purchased by Bruce Perry as a yearling with the intention of her joining the stable of Lees should she show the necessary ability.
