Smart Cambridge two-year-old Caorunn has joined the stable of his part-owner Shane Baertschiger in Singapore to target upcoming lucrative juvenile features.

Under the guidance of trainers Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young, the Showcasing gelding won three of his six starts, including the Gr.3 Phoenix Park 2yo Classic at New Plymouth, and finished fourth in the Karaka Million at Ellerslie.

Busuttin said Caorunn had left quarantine in Singapore earlier this month and had pleased Baertschiger in training.

Caorunn's chief targets will be the Singapore-Gr.2 $S325,000 Golden Horseshoe (1200m) on July 8 and the Singapore-Gr.3 $S200,000 Juvenile Championship (1200m) on July 31, both at Kranji.

"They are perfect races for him at set weights. It's never that easy because he's got to settle in there and adapt to Singapore racing but if he can get up there and produce his New Zealand form, you'd think he'd prove pretty competitive," Busuttin said.

Busuttin and Young put the polish on smart Singapore galloper Kiwi Karma, who was sold following an impressive trial victory at Waipa before going on to win the 2014 Golden Horseshoe.
