Johnathan Parkes has been suspended for 10 days after being found guilty of causing the interference which left Darryl Bradley lying on the track at Awapuni on Monday.
Parkes admitted a charge of careless riding in the final event, the Pavemasters Handicap, after he angled his mount, Copper Reign, out with approximately 500 metres to run when not sufficiently clear of Grayze Anatomy (Dylan Turner), who shifted out into the line of Bradley's mount, Elusive Boxers, resulting in that horse clipping heels and dislodging Bradley.
Parkes' suspension began immediately and he is out up to and including May 12.
Bradley escaped serious injury and was back at the Awapuni track on Monday morning.
"I was pretty lucky," said Bradley on Monday. "I've just got a bit of bruising to my back. I rode trackwork and some jumpouts this morning."
Bradley has already picked up some nice rides for Hastings on Saturday, including Mongolian Empire and last-start winner Echezeaux.
