Danielle Johnson won't know until tomorrow whether she will be able to resume riding at Te Rapa on Saturday.
Johnson had a lucky escape from serious injury when tossed from her mount Romantic Maid soon after the winning post with a round to go in the Championship Stakes at Ellerslie last Saturday.
"They were saying it was a shoulder injury, but I don't know where that came from," said Johnson.
"The doctor thinks I might have a possible fracture in my right hand and it's in a cast. I've got to see the doctor tomorrow (Tuesday) and have the x-rays rechecked. If there's nothing wrong I'll be back for Saturday."
"I knew what was going on around me," she said. "Apparently my helmet has a big crack in it. I was lucky."
