Punters got a glimpse of the talent of He Kin Fly on debut at Te Aroha yesterday and that may be all that is seen of the Darci Brahma three-year-old in this country.
He Kin Fly impressed when winning the Bruce Duske Farewell 1200 from the stable of Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman, but the dust had hardly settled before bloodstock agents were on their phones chasing the promising three-year-old.
He Kin Fly was bought by owners Marc and Sarah Devcich for $62,500 at the 2013 NZB Weanling Sales and was entered for the Select Yearling Sale the following year, only to be withdrawn.
"He just needed a bit more time so we ending up keeping him," said Marc Devcich.
He Kin Fly is a son of the Listed Manawatu Breeders Stakes winner Shi Kin Fly, whose notable placings included a second in the NZ St Leger and a third in Gr.2 Travis Stakes.
