The new training partnership of Mike Moroney and Pam Gerard got off the mark when Sororia charged home to win the final event at Te Aroha yesterday.
Gerard joined the Ballymore Stables team in late March after Moroney's former training partner, Chad Ormsby, made the decision to stand down.
Gerard spent five years with Te Akau Racing Stables, the majority of time as assistant trainer, after shifting from the South Island where she had enjoyed plenty of success as a trainer in her own right.
