Moki on the move

Pukekohe apprentice Zinjete Moki signalled her temporary move to the central districts with a win on Heeznot at Te Aroha yesterday.

The same day as she took the short route home to win the Waihou Excavation 1600 for trainer Moira Murdoch on the Rip Van Winkle three-year-old, Moki confirmed she was shifting to Kevin Myers stable.

"I'm going down to the Central Districts on loan to Kevin Myers," said Moki, who is apprenticed to Richard Collett.

"I'll probably shift down there on May 3. Richard says it will be a great opportunity for me and I'm really looking forward to it."

The 24-year-old has ridden 24 winners with Heeznot being her eighth this season.
