Emily Holmes will be a newcomer to the central districts training ranks when she relocates from Matamata early next month.
"I'm going to run Christopher Grace's pre-training set-up by the Bulls track," said Holmes, who is in her third season of training and has 15 wins on the board.
"I'm shifting down on the first weekend in May and I'm looking forward to it.
"I've done Christopher's Ready To Run horses for the last few years and had another couple for him, too. He's got some quality horses to work with.
"It's a great opportunity for me and I'll still be training my own team as well. I'll be taking six horses down with me."
Holmes' first runner from her new base is likely to be Elroi, who has been off the scene since August last year.
"He's had a wind operation and did a tendon so he's had six months in the paddock," said Holmes.
"He's coming up well and is about five weeks off a run. He's got plenty of ability."
Rock My Soul, Holmes' most recent winner, will also be part of the Bulls team, though he won't be seen out for some time.
"He was pretty crook after his last run and will be in the paddock for 10 weeks," she said. "I'm looking forward to getting him back."
Rock My Soul won on debut as a three-year-old for Holmes then went to Victoria where he recorded a win and three placings from four starts.
Since being back in New Zealand he has had four starts for two wins. He won at Matamata then successfully stepped up to Rating 85 grade two starts ago at Otaki when beating Caramac.
A newcomer to Holmes' team is Larceny, a son of Time Thief who was placed in the last of his three starts for Matamata trainers Lance O'Sullivan and Andrew Scott. There was merit in that third placing at Te Teko as the winner was Meeska Mooska, who notched his third win at Tauranga last Saturday. – NZ Racing Desk.
