The connections of Cambridge mare Ethical are keen to have another crack at the Rotorua Cup.
The High Chaparral mare was unplaced in the Rotorua feature last year and hasn't started since finishing fourth of six in the Mitchelson Cup at Ellerslie last September, but is coming to hand nicely.
"We'd like to get her to the Rotorua Cup," said co-trainer Nick Smith. "That's the target at this stage."
Ethical had to settle for three placings last campaign, but the previous season she emerged as a top winter galloper, culminating with her win in the Mitchelson Cup.
