Emily Farr has added another string to her bow. The Welsh newsborn horsewoman has made her mark as a jumps jockey and has now signed on as an apprentice jockey, indentured to Craig Phelan (father of her partner, Shaun).
"I've got my weight down and hopefully I'll get more opportunities," said Farr, who has 13 wins to her credit.
Farr's best day as a jumps jockey was when riding four winners for Phelan at Te Aroha last July.
