Entries for online auction closing

Vendors have until 7pm this Sunday 17 April to enter their horses, after which the catalogue will be launched online at 7pm on the 18th with bidding running from Monday the 25th to 7pm Thursday the 28th of April.

Included in the first catalogue thus far is a good selection of breeding and racing prospects plus some valuable pin-hooking opportunities including an outstanding weanling colt by Cambridge Stud's sire of the moment, Tavistock (NZ) (Montjeu). The colt is being offered by his breeders Mervyn, Patricia and Chris Whittle who commented on their decision to sell online "We have had fantastic feedback from some of the best judges around on the quality of our colt and off the recent success of the likes of Werther and Tavago, we felt now is a good time to put him on the market.

"The new online selling option is something we believe is the way of the future and with NZB's backing we know our colt will still be put on the radar of everyone who would be in the market for him."

Many of New Zealand's leading farms have stock listed already with another fillip being five blue-blood mares being sold by Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa.

The self-service registration and listing process has to date had over 20 farms, stables and individuals successfully listing horses while for those that aren't as well versed in the online space, the gavelhouse.com team are happy to assist.
