Former New Zealand apprentice Kei Chiong has rewritten Hong Kong racing history.
She became the first female jockey to ride four winners in a day when she was successful aboard Friends Forever, Supreme Flight, Gallant Rock and McQueen at Sha Tin on Sunday evening.
Chiong went close to making it five when she finished runner-up aboard Enormous Honour in the penultimate event on the card.
The 23-year-old rode 45 winners during her New Zealand career that began at Matamata with Graham Richardson before she moved south to link up with Allan Sharrock's New Plymouth stable.
