Exciting Cambridge galloper Enough won't be seen again until the spring after undergoing surgery to remove bone chips from a knee.
Trainer John Bell had the winner of two of his four starts X-rayed after a substandard trackwork gallop last Thursday.
"I noticed there was something just niggling him after he galloped last Thursday so we had him X-rayed. They found chips so we've removed them and he'll be back in the spring," Bell said.
"We'll just bring him up quietly through the grades with a mind to having a go at some of the bigger races when we feel he's ready."
O'Reilly four-year-old gelding Enough was installed as the third favourite for last month's Gr.2 Japan-New Zealand International Trophy at Tauranga before a heavy track forced his withdrawal.
Meanwhile, Bell has been heartened by positive vet reports for his Group Two winner Mosse.
"He's 90 percent healed from a hairline fracture of his fetlock," Bell said. – NZ Racing Desk.
