Humdinger set punters back on their heels with his resuming win at long odds, but his expatriate New Zealand trainer Bruce Marsh wasn't surprised by the gelding's first-up success at Kranji on Sunday evening,
"He trialled brilliantly in New Zealand and he was a bit behind when he came here, but he trialled very well last week and I don't think this win was a fluke," he said.
"He will win again and over more ground. The Road To Rocks seem to be doing better over more ground in Australia."
Humdinger has now won twice from five appearances for Marsh.
