Mick Price is understandably a big fan of Tavistock, whose son Tarzino will represent his Caulfield stable in the $A3 million Gr.1 Australian Derby at Randwick.
"They are lovely big, strong horses and they work well with the New Zealand mares," Price said.
"I had Tavistock for four starts when he was a three-year-old. He won a race, but had trained off before the Caulfield Guineas.
"He went back to New Zealand and won a couple of Group One races and let down into a magnificent horse."
The New Zealand-bred Tarzino is an even money favourite to become a triple Group One winner on Saturday, having already bagged the Rosehill Guineas and the VRC Derby.
