Dual Group One winner Xtravagant is likely to make an appearance at the Tauranga meeting on April 16.
"He'll probably go there for a gallop between races and then head to the Breeders' Stakes at Te Rapa a fortnight later," co-trainer Jamie Richards said.
Xtravagant's performance in the Gr.3 Inglis Sales Cambridge Breeders' Stakes will decide whether he ventures to the Queensland winter carnival.
"He would need to win, and win well, for us to target races like the Doomben 10,000 and the Stradbroke," Richards said.
