A poor weather outlook will keep the multiple winner Fast Learner at home this weekend.
"He was going to run at Tauranga on Saturday, but the forecast isn't good at all and he needs a good surface," trainer Richard Collett said.
"He wants a mile on a big track or even further so finding the right race for him isn't easy – we may have to take a chance and get him straight up to 2000 metres."
