Endean Rose justified her trainer's belief in her staying ability with a victory in her middle distance debut.
The daughter of Savabeel vindicated Rotorua horseman Iain Kennedy with her winning effort over 2000 metres in Wednesday's South Waikato Cup at Matamata.
"I always knew she would get over a bit more ground and up to 1600 metres she's been finishing off brilliantly," he said. "She always gives her best, she's a tough little horse."
