A decision on penalties for Lance O'Sullivan and Andrew Scott has been reserved by the Judicial Control Authority (JCA) and is expected to be released on Friday week.
The Matamata trainers pleaded guilty on Wednesday to charges of presenting three horses to race with elevated levels of cobalt.
The horses, which have been disqualified, are Sound Proposition, who returned a reading of 541 after he finished third in the 2015 New Zealand Derby; Quintastics, who had a reading of 640 after winning at Matamata in March last year, and Suffire, who returned 309 after her win at Tauranga in February last year.
New Zealand has a threshold of 200 micrograms per litre of urine allowed for horses racing.
It is understood the Racing Integrity Unit is seeking fines of $20,000 per horse, but no periods of disqualification for O'Sullivan or Scott. – NZ Racing Desk.
