COMMENT

1st

EL SOLDADO

Darryl Bradley

This is sensational. I was midfield early in the running and he was over-racing so I sent him to the front and dictated. To the horses credit he gave me everything and held everyone at bay.

2nd

ROSE OF VIRGINIA

Cameron Lammas

Massive run. We got a good trip and she was nice and relaxed. The winner just had too much of a break on us but she tried her little heart out.

3rd

SACRED MASTER

Leith Innes

They didn't go that hard. We got out in plenty of time but just couldn't catch them. It was a brave effort.

4th

PENTATHLON

Chris Johnson

It was a good grinding run. It was a slowly run race. I thought he was going to stop half way down but to his credit he kept grinding.

5th

APACHE FIREWORKS

Trudy Thornton

I thought it was a huge run. She could have got it softer but she showed a lot of heart. Very brave.

6th

KING KAMADA

Danielle Johnson

He boxed away fairly today but I thought he would've sprinted a bit better off the corner.

7th

SAMPSON

Lisa Allpress

I was pretty happy with his run. We got three back the fence and settled nicely there. He was probably just a bit fresh going into a 3200m race.

8th

EL PISTOLA

Robert Hannam

The track was possibly just too firm for her. From the draw we went forward and I got sucked back to 3 back the fence and had a beautiful trip. We just couldn't sprint the way the others did - maybe next year.

9th

SMEDLEY

Sam Collett

He probably needed a typhoon of rain to bring him into contention today.

10th

BENZINI

Vinnie Colgan

He went a fair race. When they sprinted he just got left behind.

11th

STORMING THE TOWER

Craig Grylls

We were back and wide but he battled on well.

12th

SHOW THE WORLD

Matt Cameron

He was very disappointing. He had his chance. We were following Sacred Master but we just weren't on our game.

13th

GURANTOR

Michael Coleman

He pulled a little hard and just didn't see out the trip.

14th

DECORAH

Opie Bosson

He pulled and hung the whole way.

15th

MISTER IMPATIENCE

Sam Spratt

He's possibly a little tired. He's an outright stayer and we went forward. Not sure if it was the right thing to do but he may be just a little tired.

Last

CHEEKY BOY

Mark Hills
No early pace and a bit of rain would have helped him.
