New Zealand Derby winner Rangipo and his third-placed stablemate Raghu are likely to tread different paths in future.
"Rangipo will definitely head out for a spell now, and I will talk to the owners of Raghu later in the week and work out whether we press on to Sydney," Pike said.
Raghu is Hong Kong-owned and connection's long-term aim is to relocate the colt for a tilt at next year's Hong Kong Derby.
Meanwhile Pike will discuss spring plans for Rangipo with owners John and Margaret Thompson next week, with the Gr.1 Emirates Stakes in Melbourne a likely target.
