Tony Pike has had the misfortune to lose an injured Provocative from his Gr.1 BMW NZ Derby line-up, but he can't fault his remaining two contenders.
Rangipo's preparation has gone without a hitch with Group Two wins in the Great Northern and Waikato Guineas and a third in the Gr.1 Levin Classic while Raghu won the Listed Karaka Mile before placings from outside gates in the Waikato and Avondale Guineas.
"They worked very well on Tuesday morning and they are tough, genuine and rock-hard fit," Pike said.
