Leading rider Johnathan Parkes will miss two major race days after being suspended at Hastings on Wednesday.
He will miss Auckland Cup day at Ellerslie and the New Zealand Oaks meeting at Trentham after pleading guilty to a charge of failing to ride his mount out fully after Balham finished third, beaten a nose for second.
The suspension, which begins on Sunday, takes in 10 riding days and, subject to any appeal against penalty, Parkes will be out till Easter Saturday.
Meanwhile, Parkes, who has won 47 races this term, has seven mounts at Wanganui on Friday and another seven at Ellerslie on Saturday, including Thunder Down Under in the Gr.1 BMW New Zealand Derby.
