Pentire, sire of Tucanchoo
Six-year-old gelding Tucanchoo dominated his rivals at Warwick Farm on Wednesday to notch the fourth win of his career.
Racing over 2200m, the son of Pentire relaxed well in the run under Tommy Berry and relished the drop back from Saturday grade.
"We've always had an opinion of him and today was D-Day for him after his last run where he was a little disappointing," co-trainer Michael Hawkes said.
"He really excelled today and he relaxed well when he let the two leaders go and he really sprouted wings the last little bit.
"Hopefully another race like this comes around the corner for him."
