A change to Xtravagant's flight plan to Melbourne won't have any impact on his challenge for further Group One honours in Saturday's Australian Guineas at Flemington.
The boom New Zealand three-year-old's arrival in Melbourne has been delayed due to his Wednesday afternoon flight being cancelled.
"There has been a hold up, I'm not sure why, and he will be leaving Auckland Airport at 9am on Thursday now so at least he will be travelling when it's a bit cooler," co-trainer Jamie Richards said.
"He will arrive in plenty of time to have a look around Flemington and do a bit of light exercise on Friday."
Xtravagant's camp were also delighted with the son of Pentire drawing barrier three in Saturday's $A750,000 mile feature.
"That's obviously very pleasing and we all know he's got very good gate speed," Richards said.
"He can jump and get a good spot on the rail from there." – NZ Racing Desk.
