King Kamada is headed back to Ellerslie in his bid for an elusive victory.
The Awapuni stayer hasn't won a race for more than two years, although he has posted six Group placings and three at Listed level between times.
King Kamada finished runner-up last time out in the Gr.2 Avondale Cup for a second time and he is on target for another crack at the Gr.1 Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup, in which he beat all but Rock Diva a year ago.
"He's come through his last run well so we're headed back for the cup, he goes well right-handed," trainer Lisa Latta said.
