Leading South Island jockey Chris Johnson has been booked to ride Pentathlon at the Ellerslie carnival.
He will partner the John Wheeler-trained stayer in the Barneswood Farm Nathans Memorial on March 5 and in the Gr.1 Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup a week later.
Pentathlon has won four of his last six starts and hasn't raced since he was narrowly beaten by Mister Impatience in last month's Gr.2 Wellington Cup.
