Lance O’Sullivan
Former champion jockey Lance O'Sullivan has been inducted into the New Zealand Sports Hall of Fame.
Now training in partnership with Andrew Scott at Matamata, he was honoured at Thursday night's 53rd Hallberg Awards.
O'Sullivan retired from the saddle at the end of the 2002-03 season with a New Zealand tally of 2358 winners, as well as success in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau and Singapore for a lifetime tally of 2479.
The winner of 12 New Zealand jockeys' premierships, O'Sullivan was an inaugural inductee into the NZ Racing Hall of Fame in 2006.
