David Greene is hoping the racing scales can swing in Stolen Dance's favour on her home track on Saturday.
The Te Rapa trainer said the mare would be at the top of her game for the Gr.1 Herbie Dyke Stakes and her bid for a first top flight title.
"She worked strongly last Saturday and also galloped very well on Tuesday so everything is as well as I could hope for. She's ready to go."
In her last two appearances Stolen Dance has been narrowly beaten in the Gr.1 Zabeel Classic and the Gr.1 Thorndon Mile, both times hitting the line powerfully behind Kawi.
"I think it would be just deserts if she had her turn, but I'm obviously biased and you have to earn it," Greene said.
"Sometimes things go for you and sometimes things go against you. We've been second to a very good horse twice and we're looking to turn that around.
"I certainly couldn't be any happier with my mare and it would be fantastic if she could get a Group One at Te Rapa."
With Danielle Johnson committed to Vavasour in the Herbie Dyke, Sam Spratt will renew her association with Stolen Dance. She has ridden the Alamosa mare four times previously for three wins and a second.
"We're very happy to have Sam back on and she got the job done last time at Te Rapa in the Cal Isuzu Stakes," Greene said.
He will decide after the weekend whether Stolen Dance makes one or two more appearances before her current campaign comes to a close.
"The Breeders' Stakes at Te Aroha will be her last run and after Saturday I'll decide whether to freshen her and target that or if she has a run in between," he said. – NZ Racing Desk.
