The Chris Gibbs and Michelle Bradley-trained pair of Danzdanzdance and Hello It’s Me pleased their connections with their exhibition gallop at Ruakaka on Tuesday ahead of further black-type targets this summer.
Danzdanzdance was impressive last-start when winning the Gr.1 Captain Cook Stakes (1600m) fresh-up at Trentham, while Group Two winner Hello It’s Me was disappointing with her unplaced run in the Gr.3 Counties Cup (2100m) last month.
“All is going well (with Danzdanzdance), I’m really happy with her,” Bradley said. “She pulled up really well after Wellington, she was only down four kilos, which is nothing, she’s put that back on already. I was extremely happy with her work on Tuesday.
“Hello It’s Me is going really well, we are looking at the Rich Hill Mile (Gr.2, 1600m) on New Year’s Day and her work was really good on Tuesday with Danzdanzdance, I’m happy with both of them.”
Meanwhile, the Gibbs and Bradley team unearthed a potential Gr.1 Vodafone New Zealand Derby (2400m) contender when Lumberjack strolled to victory in the Coresteel Maiden (1600m) at Ruakaka on Tuesday.
The son of Redwood sports the colours of Australian syndication group OTI Management, who have previously enjoyed good success with the progeny of the Westbury Stud-stallion including stakes winners Night’s Watch and Romancer.
