Multiple stakes placegetter True Excelsior will be aimed at the Gr.1 JR & N Berkett Telegraph (1200m) at Trentham on January 19.
The New Zealand-bred daughter of Exceed And Excel is prepared in Victoria by Leon and Troy Corstens and finished third behind Smart Coupe at Flemington last Saturday over 1100m.
Twice Group Three-placed, True Excelsior finished fourth to Shoals in the Gr.1 Sangster Stakes (1200m) back in May.
Raced by Rosemont Stud, True Excelsior will run in the Gr.3 Standish Handicap (1200m) at Flemington on New Year’s Day and provided she runs up to the expectations of her trainers she will be on a plane to New Zealand.
