A track inspection by the Racing Integrity Unit, track staff and trainers on Tuesday morning has resulted in the abandonment of tomorrow’s Counties meeting.
The decision to abandon the meeting was made as a result of the extremely wet and inconsistent nature of the track.
As a result of the abandonment, New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing have added a maiden 2000m race to the Waipa programme on Friday September 7.
