Cambridge trainer Andrew Forsman hasn't yet given up hope of having New York Minute and Francaletta join Jon Snow in Saturday week's Gr.1 Tarzino Trophy (1400m) at Hastings.

New York Minute advanced to 19th on the order of entry with the withdrawal of Shadow's Cast on Wednesday and with the likelihood of Age Of Fire coming out means she has edged closer to making the final 16 for the weight-for-age sprint.

Francaletta is two spots further back on the order of entry, despite her fighting fourth in last Saturday's Gr.2 Foxbridge Plate (1200m) at Te Rapa, in which New York Minute faded to 13th after leading on conditions firmer than her preferred heavy going.

"Both have pulled up well and we're still hoping they can get in. New York Minute would only run if the track was on the worse side of slow or heavy," Forsman said.

"With Francaletta, if she doesn't get a crack at the Tarzino, there's really nothing left here for her so she'd probably head to Australia and target mares races there."
