The Pakuranga Hunt meeting on Saturday, set to be held at Te Rapa, will now be run at Te Aroha.
New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing has cited heavy rain and prevailing track conditions for the change in venue.
The transfer has also resulted in the change in a number of race distances. All hurdle races will now be run over 3100m, the Maiden Chase will be run over 3500m (reduced from 3900m), while the Bridges Insurance Pakuranga Hunt Cup will now be run over 5200m (increased from 4800m).
The Pakuranga Hunt meeting is historically held at Ellerslie, however, with the course closed for several months for track maintenance, Te Rapa was set to host the meeting before this week’s transfer.
