Group One-placed three-year-old Sir Nate is poised to make a splash when he resumes in Saturday week's Listed El Roca Sir Colin Meads Trophy (1200m) at Hastings.
A winner of three of his six starts at two, including the Listed Wellesley Stakes (1000m) at Trentham last spring, Nadeem colt Sir Nate went to the paddock after his third placing in the Gr.1 Manawatu Sires' Produce Stakes (1400m) at Awapuni in late March.
He resumed with a slashing trial win over 850m at Foxton earlier this month.
"He's come up enormous,” trainer Lisa Latta said. “We've got a lovely team of young horses coming through for spring but he's at the top of the pile."
