Quality four-year-old O’Reilly entire Grunt will tackle the Gr.1 Memsie Stakes (1400m) on September 1 on his way to a tilt at the Gr.1 Cox Plate (2040m) in October.
Trainer Mick Price said the Gr.1 Australian Guineas (1600m) winner has pulled up well after his fifth-placing in the Gr.2 PB Lawrence Stakes (1400m) and believes his charge will need the run.
"I'm going to run Grunt in the Memsie Stakes,” Price said. “He's pulled up very well and he's a four-year-old entire, he needs another run I think.
"Four weeks between the Lawrence and the Makybe Diva Stakes is just too long so I've decided to give him a run at Caulfield."
