A foot issue hasn’t disrupted plans to have the promising El Disparo at Te Rapa for the Schweppes Great Northern Hurdle (4150m).
The six-year-old was an impressive last-start winner over fences at Hawke’s Bay at in his third appearance over the jumps.
“He had a sore foot after that, but he’s good now and he’ll have a flat race at Te Rapa on Saturday week,” trainer Mark Brooks said.
“He’ll go to the open hurdle on Pakuranga Hunt Cup and then hopefully into the Great Northern,” trainer Mark Brooks said.
