Another Taranaki test for mare

Capable mare Sleeping Beauty will return to New Plymouth next month for her next appearance.

The Rip Van Winkle five-year-old gave a bold showing on the Taranaki course last time out when runner-up in the Listed Opunake Cup (1400m) behind New York Minute.

“It was a great result for Sir Peter Vela, we wanted to get some black type and she’s a very honest mare,” co-trainer Lance O’Sullivan said.
