Hugh Bowman booked for Hiflyer

Top Sydney jockey Hugh Bowman has been booked to ride Hiflyer in Saturday’s Listed Winter Challenge (1500m) at Rosehill.
Trained at Te Aroha by Peter Lock, the son of Tavistock finished a respectable fourth in the Listed Winter Stakes (1400m) in his Australian debut.
Lock said the distance was well short of Hiflyer’s best, as is 1500m, but was hopeful of another strong showing from the five-year-old.
