Johno Benner and Hollie Wynyard promise to hold a strong hand with Scott Base and Wyndspelle in next season’s Triple Crown series at Hawke’s Bay.
“Scott Base is in great order, there are exciting times ahead,” Benner said.
Scott Base has won four races, including the Gr.2 Wellington Guineas (1400m) and the Karaka Million 3YO Classic (1600m).
Wyndspelle has joined the stable from Michael Kent’s Cranbourne yard.
“He’s a stunning colt and he’s got good form around very good horses in Melbourne,” Benner said.
Wyndspelle’s best effort across the Tasman was a third placing in the Gr.1 Kennedy Mile (1600m).
